Experience:

My name is Jeffrey Keating.  Over the course of my 25+ year career, I have developed software and directed technical product teams of up to 100+ professionals.  I have directed organizations that span the software development life-cycle, from requirements through to test and customer release, with an on-time and on-budget completion rate of over 90%.  I have experience as the Vice President of Engineering for two high-tech companies in Texas.  Additionally, I was with Motorola (Operations Manager) and Freescale Semiconductor (Director of Software Technology) for 22 years, focused on the development of Paging and Cellular infrastructure technology.  In addition to driving technical teams and focusing on customer deliverables, I worked closely with the overall company management teams and focused on building the organization and developing platforms to be utilized in expanding the customer base and sales volume.  I was responsible for overall engineering leadership and product development including management of all engineering resources and customer deliverables.  I worked to institute processes, define schedules, employ project management disciplines, and direct all engineering functions to insure smooth project execution with on time delivery and high quality.  As a result of my technical and managerial efforts, I have been fortunate to have achieved a number of key accomplishments.  I have been able to release numerous paging and cellular infrastructure products to customers that span the globe.  This has resulted in establishing and sustaining significant product revenue levels for the company.  It has also provided me with the opportunity to undertake and complete a one year expatriate assignment in Beijing, China.
